In conjunction with the Fall Barn Sale at A Southern Marketplace on Acres of Grace Farms, on Friday, Oct. 19, Barky Beaver Mulch and Soils is welcoming guests to stop at the office and plan to meet the staff and learn more about the company’s 100% natural products and processes.
Log Raising and Mill Tour
On Saturday, Oct. 20, beginning at 9 a.m., folks who are interested in designing and building a custom Honest Abe Log Home are invited to attend a log raising and manufacturing tour.
Members of the company will build a small structure, showing and describing the process of building an Honest Abe Log Home.
Complimentary lunch will be served at noon to registered Log Raising guests, and afterwards a tour of our manufacturing facilities will be conducted. Throughout the event, you will have time to talk with design and drafting professionals and our manufacturing staff.
Seating in the climate-controlled building is free but limited, so reservations are required.

Log Home Tour
Following the Log Raising, special afternoon treat will be a tour of the custom log home recently built for April Smith Patterson, the daughter of Honest Abe’s founders, and her husband Nick Patterson, President of Barky Beaver The home is the first to be built with Honest Abe’s new 10” Round logs and includes a variety of innovative design ideas and construction techniques. Barn Sale
The Pattersons are opening their farm to the public on both Friday, Oct. 19, and Saturday, Oct. 20. Several large barns are being transformed into venues for a broad variety of vendors from across the region to display their wares at A Southern Marketplace Barn Sale.
Farm Tour
